Write it down first
Before a test starts, we write down its question, markets, entry and exit rules, costs and risk limits. That written version is the registered design; a changed rule means a new test.
OUR APPROACH
A useful research page lets you understand a decision and challenge what we say it means.
Before a test starts, we write down its question, markets, entry and exit rules, costs and risk limits. That written version is the registered design; a changed rule means a new test.
We record when the system observed a price, made a decision, requested an order and modeled a fill. A later explanation must use only what was known then.
We include modeled fees and execution friction in trading results. Hosting is shown separately, and no cost is subtracted twice.
We compare each strategy with cash and simple holdings. We explain differences in exposure, timing and turnover before interpreting a return.
We retain rejected candidates, missing prices, unresolved exits, losses and risk halts. A test never resets just to make its chart look better.
We evaluate on data that arrived after the rules were set, then reserve a final confirmation period. Changing a rule starts a new test, and more time alone proves nothing.
WHO DOES WHAT
Chooses research questions and can pause a study. Public releases and any future funded activity require separate decisions.
Checks fixed conditions, tracks paper budgets and records simulated outcomes. Today's trade decisions follow specified rules.
Helps write tools, propose questions, review results and explain findings. Its prose is not a price quote or proof of correctness.
PRIVACY & PUBLICATION
The public pages have no ads and no tracking analytics. Reading them sets no cookie. Two features store data you give us: the Trade interest list keeps the email you submit, and free Lab accounts keep your passkey and your paper drafts. Web servers necessarily process connection information to deliver pages.
Market-data publishing rights are still being checked. The public pages explain our methods without releasing recorded market prices, fills or account values.
